Chenango Capital is looking for the most promising early stage investment opportunities that present the greatest chance of generating significant rewards to our limited partner investors. It is our hope that we will see deals that come from the Colgate University alumni body, but not being affiliated with Colgate is no impediment to receiving financing from Chenango Capital.

The Chenango Capital general partners all have extensive operating and investing experience. We know the challenges of building a business. We realize it takes persistence and a team effort to nurture and grow a nascent enterprise. Chenango Capital is looking for companies and entrepreneurs that recognize the value of a team effort and are willing to work closely with us to build value for all of us.

Typically, Chenango Capital will receive one or more board seats in the companies in which it invests. These board monitors are expected to receive the same equity compensation for their service as other outside board members, typically 1% - 2% of the equity of the company’s stock either as stock options or restricted stock grants.
