Chenango Capital is looking for the most promising early stage investment opportunities that present the greatest chance of generating significant rewards to our limited partner investors. It is our hope that we will see deals that come from the Colgate University alumni body, but not being affiliated with Colgate is no impediment to receiving financing from Chenango Capital.

Chenango Capital wants to make certain that the companies it invests in have sufficient capital to significantly increase company value and achieve a positive exit through one or two funding rounds and 3 – 5 years.

Typically, Chenango Capital will invest between $250,000 and $1 MM in a company, often through several tranches tied to meeting specific milestone goals. Through syndications with angel investor groups or other small venture funds, Chenango Capital expects to be able to meet financing requirements of up to $2 million. Companies that feel they need to raise more than that amount to reach a value inflection point are encouraged to seek funding from larger venture capital firms.
